Islamabad Court Clear Imran Khan and Other PTI Leaders in Aabpara Police Station Case

ISLAMABAD – Former Prime Minister Imran Khan and PTI Leaders clear in Aabpara Case on July 3, 2024. Founding chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan, along with several top leaders of the party, have been acquitted in a case filed in Abpara police station. The Judicial Magistrate of the District and Sessions Court of Islamabad, Yasir Mehmood, pronounced the verdict, in which the top PTI personalities including Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Sheikh Rasheed, Shehryar Afridi, Ali Nawaz Awan, Raja Khurram Nawaz, Faisal Javed and Asad Qaiser were cleared. A PTI spokesperson expressed relief outside the court, stressing the party’s determination to uphold Pakistan’s judiciary and legal process.

Meanwhile, the District and Sessions Court of Islamabad has indicated its intention to dispose of the Iddat Nikah case involving Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi by July 8. Salman Akram Raja, highlighting the legal considerations set out in the Supreme Court judgments regarding Eid. Raja emphasized the contradictions in the testimony, emphasizing the period’s purpose for reconciliation rather than harm to women.
