Interest-Free Bikes Distribution for Students: Punjab CM Maryam has initiated a groundbreaking initiative aimed at supporting students across the province. The Punjab Motorcycle Scheme 2024 gives e-bikes to eligible students, starting a phased rollout for thousands of young learners.
The motorcycles are provided on an Interest-Free Bikes Distribution for Students installment plan. CM Maryam reaffirmed the government’s commitment to fulfill its promises, noting that the distribution of laptops to students will also commence shortly.
One of the notable features of the e-bikes distributed under this scheme is the inclusion of insured batteries, ensuring additional security for students. Moreover, charging points will be set up in universities to facilitate easy access to charging facilities.
Eligibility for the scheme extends to students enrolled in degree colleges and universities across Punjab. The response to the initiative has been overwhelming, with over 72,640 applications received. Of these, 57,366 students have applied for petrol motorcycles, while 15,274 have shown interest in e-bikes.
CM Maryam launch of the interest-free bike distribution marks a significant step towards supporting students across the province. This program not only aims to enhance student mobility but also underscores the government’s commitment to empowering youth.
